Ice / Fishing Reports

January 13, 2010
The roads are better now most of the back cracks are healed. Fishing has been good on the west side of Barnacles Flat. We went out on the sliver last night and got a couple and missed a few. A copper buck shot seemed to work best before sunset and glow in the dark jig and buck shot worked after sunset.

January 5, 2010
We now have roads to both Schulz's and Dean's. Perch are being caught on the Flats and the Sands. Walleyes are being caught on the edge of the Flats and on the Rock Pile. The roads are in good condition and any cracks we had have healed up nicely and the bridges have been removed.

We are pulling houses out to the Bumps (14" ice), East Flats (13" ice), Rock Pile (12" ice), Sands (11" ice) and past the first break. Roads & ice are good and if it gets as cold as they say tonight then add another inch of ice.

Hope to have an updated report later today after I have been out plowing some more.

December 29, 2009 (4:00 pm)
Roads are plowed to the Sands and the East Flats. The Sands has 11" of ice and the East Flats has 12"-13" of ice. Pulled out a few houses to the Sands today and can possibly pull a few houses tomorrow. There are a couple of cracks out there but they should heal by tomorrow. Plans are to pull the majority of houses on Thursday and later.

Plowed a rough road to the Rock Pile yesterday. It was a little slushy in some spots but overall pretty good. Plan on plowing more roads today and checking out the ice. It got down to 13 below last night so I expect the flooding we did will have froze over. Will have a report later today after I have been out on the lake.

December 28, 2009
We did get some snow over the weekend and the lake got pretty slushy out there. We have been out flooding and plan to do some more flooding today. With the weather turning colder it should freeze over real good. There is 10" of ice and in certain areas there is 12-14". We have and can pull out small houses for now with hopes that bigger houses can go out on Wednesday. You can drive vehicles out to the first break but stay on the roads. We'll post another update tomorrow morning.

December 16, 2009
Several people have gone out and fish are biting between 14-18ft of water! There is 10" of ice out front at 1st break 8" after that. We will be going out there today and putting bridge over crack to get over to rock pile!

December 14, 2009
There is 8"-10" of ice inside the first break and ~ 6" ice outside the 1st break. The bridge is out and we hope to start pulling houses this Thursday if the weather permits. There is perhaps 1" of snow on the lake.

December 10, 2009
6" of ice straight out in front up till 20ft. Out on four wheelers today. Should be good for weekend depending on what the wind does.

December 7, 2009
There is 3 1/2 to 4 inches of ice out to 18 feet. Hope to have another update on Thursday.

Summer Fishing

May 29, 2010
Fishing is still hot! Bobber fishing in about 16 foot of water seems to be the trick for the evening bite, one boat reported catching their limit in an hour and a half (3 people, 12 walleye) Drifting during the day, couldn't ask for a better walleye chop! Pink and orange hooks have been the most popular.

May 23, 2010
This weekend the fishing was really good. People are catching fish drifting during the day in the sands in front of Carlosona and anchored on the break out to the left during the evening hours.

May 17, 2010
Fishing opener went good! People were catching fish in about 17 ft of water early in the morning or late at night on the sands!
